I have been on a denim winning streak over the last week. Usually jeans are a constant struggle for me - I have rather wide hips, and a reasonably small waist. Considering the fact that the majority of jeans are cut for an 'athletic' body type, without much hip room, I really struggle to find a pair which are comfortable. Hence my excitement when I managed to come across two pairs in one week.
The first are simple rag & bone. However, they are their 'legging' variation. Friends of mine will understand how big of a deal this is for me - I am a very strong advocator for the idea that leggings are not pants, never, ever, ever. Alas, trust a rag & bone sale to force me to change my mind. Thankfully the extra stretch in these pair allow plenty of room for my hips, without being loose around my waist. The fact that they still look like jeans also helped with the whole 'legging' issue. Either way I wore them the entire 20 hour plane ride over to the States, and was perfectly comfortable the entire time (I'll be doing a later post about my first few days over here!)
The second are an Australian brand called nANA jUDY, who originally only did men's wear, but recently expanded into women's too. These jeans are the best I've ever found for my body type. They're an amazing, thick denim with very little stretch, but fit perfectly. They are also the perfect length for my 5"5 frame - I strongly recommend them for anyone with similar denim (and height) woes as me!
