Boxing Day this year was somewhat different to previous years. Usually, the day is spent sleeping in until the afternoon and eating copious amounts of leftover christmas turkey, ham and pudding. Instead, I woke at 5 am and drove to Taree, a town 4 hours out of Sydney, to meet Ben and his family. We spent the mini-holiday boating, waterskiing, kneeboarding and bike riding. It was definitely the most active and sun-filled Boxing Day I've ever had!
I received the playsuit I'm wearing as a Christmas present this year. It's a gorgeous and light cotton; the perfect thing to wear on hot summer days. It also has the added benefit of being super-short, without running the risk of the skirt blowing up with the slightest breeze. 'Santa' picked it up from a store in Haberfield which has the best collection of cheap fashion I've ever come across. The owner is a fashion student, and always finds great pieces - it's definitely worth a look: Style Society.
The sandals are my take on the Birkenstock craze sweeping almost all fashion blogs at the moment. I love the idea of a stark white, geeky and insanely comfortable sandal, but I'm always slightly put-off by a trend if it seems to be absolutely everywhere and on everyone. So, I guess the version I'm wearing are a slight compromise - they're actually primary school shoes in New Zealand! All credit to finding them goes to my mum again, I think between the two of us she definitely has the best eye for shoes.
